The Volunteers that make this organization possible:
Colleen ~ Vice President
- Colleen has been a lifelong lover and advocate of animals. She worked previously with Our Companions Animal Rescue and has been a volunteer on the Connecticut State Animal Rescue Team for many years. She has a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and has a passion for understanding what makes animals tick. Colleen is an avid chicken owner and is always willing to help share her knowledge with others. In addition to secretarial duties she also helps deliver our pantry food to families across Connecticut.
Matthew ~ Pet Food Delivery Assistant
- Matt has been a dog groomer for about 8 years, and he has always loved working with dogs. He has also done some previous kennel work in the past, and has owned his own grooming shop that he started from the ground up! He owns a Pomeranian mix that he adopted through Save Me a Spot! Dog Rescue and he doesn't know what he would do without the little guy in his life!
Susan ~ Director of Social Services
- A dog lover, a cancer survivor, and an activist Susan is a huge help to our pantry! She picks up donations, helps with fund raisers, and pampers pooches. Her dog Munch is the light of her life and a great little volunteer as well. Susan's Yorkshire Terrier "Munch" is a certified therapy dog in Connecticut and now helps bring as much happiness into the lives of others in need as he does his loving owner Susan.
Gizmo and Frens ~ Supporters
- Gizmo is a therapy dog in Connecticut that in his spare time helps support charities and raise awareness for a variety of causes (like K9 Safe at Home). He is trying to become a "hero dog" and help people all over Connecticut. Check out his Facebook page for daily updates on what he is up to, because he is a very active little dog!
